Not everyone can go below ground, such as the elderly and handicapped, or due to illness any of us may have trouble with steps. That's the reason we've made this one extra strong, and also had it tested to be sure. We use 10 gauge steel and reinforce it with the 4 inch channel, 4 rows of it which goes up the sides and over the top of the shelter. This also gives you added protection from falling debri.
We've had a very large tree on top of our Safe Shed (It has the same structure only different exterior) to show you how strong these shelters are. We also drive all over our Hill Side and Below Ground Shelters with a bull dozer and very heavy equipment and it doesn't have as much channel skeleton as this one does, yet it never phases them in the least.
This makes a safe place for your valuables, but most of all, this shelter is made with your family’s safety in mind, as we know they are the most valuable of all.
